Last Friday, November 25th, 2022 at the facilities of the Faculty of Medicine of the Virgen Macarena University Hospital in Seville, we actively participated in the "I Introduction Conference on PlasmaJet applications in Complex Oncological Surgery".

We were accompanied by some 25 professionals made up of surgeons, assistants, residents and students from different surgical specialties such as Thoracic Surgery, Complex Abdominal Wall Surgery, Onco-Surgeons, peritoneal surgeons, digestive, etc. who shared an intense morning that was divided into two parts:

A first theoretical part where the technology was explained in the first presentation entitled "Introduction to PlasmaJet technology" which was developed by the Product Manager of Grupo EMB, followed by a presentation entitled "Usual and less frequent surgical techniques in peritoneal carcitomatosis ” need or daring? by Professor Rafael Morales Soriano and followed by the presentation of the "Study in phase I/II of the efficacy and single-arm safety of the use of neutral Argon plasma in the cytoreduction of miliary implants on the peritoneal surface" by Professor Álvaro Arjona Sánchez, finishing this theoretical block in an open table of questions and requests moderated by Dr. Juan Manuel Castillo.

The second part consisted of a workshop with 2 consoles and different elements so that those attending the course could appreciate the effects produced by Argon Neutral Plasma on different surfaces and structures, allowing all attendees to try this new technology and thus have a first contact with the system.
