32nd CONGRESS OF THE EUROPEAN ASSOCIATION OF TISSUE AND CELL BANKS AND XVIII CONGRESS OF THE SPANISH ASSOCIATION OF TISSUE BANKS

On November 28th and 29th, 2024, the 32nd Congress of the European Association of Tissue and Cell Banks and the XVIII Congress of the AEBT were held in Barcelona, ​​in which EMB Group participated as an assistant and exhibitor together with the company Cryo Bio System (CBS). 

In order to comply with the new regulations in this field, CBS, a prestigious company dedicated to cryopreservation, has developed High Security Tubes that guarantee maximum security in biological samples. These tubes are sealable and keep the samples completely isolated from the outside and from liquid nitrogen, thus avoiding cross-contamination and allowing good conservation of the samples over the years. 

This congress has been held at a crucial time in the development of tissue and cell banks in Europe. Furthermore, new EU regulations will provide standardised and detailed guidance for tissue and cell banks, and the Egalite project will provide a mechanism for bank accreditation and professional training for those working in this field. 

In addition, it has been a great opportunity to network with European and other entities, stimulating collaborations and driving the development of new types of tissue and cell grafts to improve the quality of life of an increasing number of patients.
